Powder Brows

Powder brows mimic a naturally filled in brow with a pencil. We create a soft to dark shade from the eyebrow bulb down to the tail. This treatment is for anyone who wants a soft makeup look. Over time your brows will heal softly and leave perfectly symmetrical brows in its place.

FAQs BROWS

The difference between Microblading and Powder Brows is the tools used, the technique, and the retention. Microblading is normally done with a manual tool that is dragged through the first layer of skin with sharp needles, and Powder Brows are rotary machine and bounce off the skin as its passed over the work area. Microblading cuts straight down and up through the skin causing bleeding and heavy scabbing based on the skin type, and Powder Brows bounce over the skin with a pendulum method and leave barely any scabbing. Microblading can last 6 months to 1.5 years before a touch-up is required, and Powder Brows can last from 1 year to 3 years before a touch-up is required.
Do not drink caffeine (coffee/tea/soda/energy drinks, etc.) or alcohol 48 hours prior to your appointment. Consuming alcohol or caffeine acts as blood-thinner, and it will cause the skin to bleed, which increases the likelihood of heavy scabbing and premature fading. Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before the procedure. Please consult with your doctor before stopping any medication. You should skip moisturizing for 24 hours and do not tint for 3 weeks prior to your appointment.

Do not wax, shave or pluck your brows because we will attempt to retain all natural hair and integrate it into the design of your new brows. In some cases, shaping of the natural brow is required and stray hairs may need to be removed to create a clean and aesthetically pleasing result. Avoid tanning 1 week prior to your appointment. Discontinue Glycolics, Chemical Peels, Retin-A and any eyebrow growth serums on or near your brows 2 weeks prior to and after your appointment to avoid them from fading fast. If you use Botox, it should be performed 2 months prior to and 2 months after your appointment.
Everyone has a different level of sensitivity, so topical anesthetics can be applied during the treatment to alleviate any sensation or discomfort.
Powder brow treatments are a two-step process which include the initial appointment and a touch up appointment 6-12 weeks after. Within a week of your first treatment the color will fade as much as 30%. Most clients will need a second or third appointment to complete their desired look. Please book your touch up within 2 weeks after your initial appointment for your 6-12 weeks touch-up.
Aftercare ointment should be applied once a day for 7-10 days after 48 hours. Use a q-tip to gently apply a small amount of balm to each brow. If your brow is glossy due to excess ointment please pat the excess off. You want them to be hydrated, but not over saturated with balm. DO NOT apply ointment if you have OILY SKIN. Avoid water on the brow areas until the micro scabs naturally fall off. Do not get water on your brows during the healing phase. Do not scrub, scrap, rub or pick at any crust that forms, because this can cause scarring, hair loss, and premature pigment loss. Allow the brows to heal in a timely manner and the micro scabs will fall off naturally on their own.

No working out or (excess sweating) for at least 10 days. No long hot showers or steam rooms for 10 days. Do not apply direct sun exposure to the brows, and please wear sunscreen once the area has healed completely to avoid fading. No swimming for 1 month in chlorine filled swimming pools, hot tubs, seawater, or bodies of water. Please try to sleep on your back, or sleep in a sitting position to avoid rubbing your brows on the pillow. Do not wear makeup or use any retinol near the treated area for 2 weeks. To extend the life of the procedure, avoid abrasive facial treatments and harsh facial products that may alter the color in the brow area.
