Aftercare ointment should be applied once a day for 7-10 days after 48 hours. Use Q-tip to apply gently with very little amount as too much of ointment can end up in infection or too much scabbing, which will end up in loosing the pigment. If its shiny, its too much! DO NOT apply ointment if you have OILY SKIN.
Avoid water on the brow area until scabs naturally peels off. If you don’t know how to avoid getting water on your brows while showering, please visit a salon to get your hair shampooed or you may use dry shampoo, and use face wipes to clean your face.
Do not scrub, scrap, rub or pick at the epithelial crust that forms. This could cause scarring, hair loss, and additional pigment loss – allow it to fall of naturally.
No working out (excess sweating) for at least 10 days.
No long hot showers and steam for 10 days.
No direct sun exposure. Once the area has healed completely, consider using a waterproof total sunblock when going out in the sun to help the color from fading.
No swimming for 1 month. Chlorine in swimming pools, hot, tubs, and salt in seawater can bleach out your color.
Sleep on your back or sleep in sitting position to avoid rubbing your brows on the pillow.
Do not wear makeup or USE ANY FACIAL PRODUCT / TREATMENT on or near the treated area for 2 weeks. To extend the life of the procedure, avoid abrasive facial treatments and harsh facial products that may alter the color in the brow area.
Ombre is permanent powdered brows technique for clients who prefer fuller result than hairstrokes (Microblading) but still very soft. It’s a technique which looks like daily makeup done with eyebrow pencil or eyebrow shadow. The tails of the brow are darker and fade into a light beginning to the brow, giving a perfect Ombre makeup affect. The result will be waterproof, smudge-proof and completely natural that can last 1-3 years.
Everyone has a different level of sensitivity so topical anesthetics can be applied during the treatment to alleviate any sensation or discomfort.
Ombré brows is a two step process, initial appointment and a touch up appointment 6-12 weeks after. Within a week of your first treatment the color will fade as much as 30% or more lighter in shade and will healed to more of a natural makeup look. While some clients don’t need a touch up after their first appointment, most clients will need a second or third appointment to complete their desire look.
Please book your touch up within 2 weeks after your initial appointment for your 6-12 weeks touchup. You will likely know by then if you need one. My appointments get booked fast and if you wait, I may not have any availability, and you will have to pay a higher fee.
Do not drink caffeine (coffee/tea/soda/energy drinks,..etc) or alcohol 48 hours prior to your appointment. Consuming alcohol or caffeine acts as blood-thinner. It will cause the skin to irritate and bleeding will reduce the pigment absorption as blood will push out the colors.
Do not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure. (Please consult with your doctor before stopping any medication).
You should skip moisturizing for 24 hours as the drier the skin, the better the result.
No tinting for 3 weeks prior.
Do not wax, shave or pluck your brows. Every attempt is made to retain all natural hair and integrate it into the design of the permanent eyebrows. In some cases, where shaping of the natural brow is required, a few hairs here and there may need to be removed to create a clean and aesthetically pleasing result. .
Avoid tanning 1 week prior to your appointment.
Discontinue Glycolics, Chemical Peels, Retin-A and any eyebrow growth serums on or near your brows 2 weeks prior to and after your appointment to avoid them from fading fast.
If you use Botox, it should be performed 2 months prior to and 2 months after your appointment.
